Abu Dhabi City Tour
The Grand Mosque in white marble, the Corniche, the presidential palace and Yas Island.
An hour and a half from Dubai, the capital moves at a calmer pace. We begin at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, eighty-two white domes and the largest hand-knotted carpet in the world.
From there to Qasr Al Watan, the working presidential palace, then along the Corniche to the Heritage Village and a photo stop at Emirates Palace.
On the way home we pass Yas Island and Ferrari World. Modest dress is needed for the mosque: long sleeves and trousers, and a headscarf for women.
